Tip: All ride-tracking features are identical between free and premium. The differences are quantity limits and advanced features.
Ride functionality
Ride display
Your main ride screen shows real-time data:
- SpeedCurrent speed with optional target-speed zones
- Average speedCalculated average for your current ride
- Time elapsedTotal ride time, excluding paused time
- DistanceCumulative distance traveled
- AltitudeCurrent elevation using GPS and barometric sensors
- Elevation gainTotal upward elevation climbed during your ride
Weather integration (Premium)
When available, your ride screen displays:
- Current conditionsTemperature and conditions for your ride
- WindWind speed and direction
- 3-day forecastPlan upcoming rides
Intervals
Open intervals during a ride by tapping Interval or swiping to the intervals tab.
- Start an intervalCreate a timed section between two points
- Multiple intervalsRun up to two parallel intervals simultaneously
- Independent controlPause or resume intervals independently of the main ride
- Automatic segment creationIntervals can become segments for future comparison, depending on your settings
Segments
Segments are defined route sections where you can compare your performance with previous attempts.
Automatic segment detection
When enabled in Settings:
- Proximity detectionCyklaNow detects when you are approaching known segments
- Countdown displayShows the distance to the segment start
- Automatic timingStarts timing when you cross the start line
- Live comparisonShows how you are performing against your best time
- Automatic completionStops timing when you finish the segment
During a segment
- Time comparisonSee whether you are ahead of or behind your personal best
- Progress indicationVisual feedback shows your segment progress
- Performance rankingSee the attempt’s ranking after completion
Segment management
In Statistics → Segments, you can:
- View all attemptsSee every completed attempt for each segment
- Disable segmentsTemporarily turn off detection for specific segments
- Performance analysisCompare times across different attempts
Tip: For overlapping segments, temporarily disable one to ensure CyklaNow detects the intended segment.
